Engaging. Great listener. His smile and sparkling eyes tell you right from the time you meet him that he is trustworthy, believable and enjoyable to be with.

Very thorough. Suggested a plan that took multiple facts into consideration. Did not rush and explained a course of action that I’m totally comfortable with.

Dr Russo is great. But waiting an hour and 10 minutes after appt Time is not acceptable. The fact your survey does not ask about timeliness of appt is telling!!

They have been trying to bill me for over a year for an appointment to schedule for surgery. I brought MRI’s from Mayo Clinic to the appointment with Dr Russo. I had already been told by my Mayo orthopedic doctor that I was a candidate for knee replacement surgery. After an exam and review of the MRI, Dr Russo informed me that he was retiring and not doing any further surgeries. He told me he could refer me to his son for surgery. I could have been told that over the phone when I initially called to schedule my appointment with Dr Russo instead of me and my insurance companies being billed for an unnecessary appointment. I have been trying for over a year to resolve this issue with OrthoArizona’s billing department and have been unable to reach anyone in a decision making position

He has done a knee replacement in the past. Terrific and caring doctor.

I came to him with knee injury. he said no need for surgery, "don't baby it". so now after 10 months of PT I am undergoing surgery on my knee. I went to another ortho who said I needed immediate surgery. He further said just a visual exam showed torn ligaments and that the X-rays and MRIs bore that out. Russo is totally incompetent!

I accompanied my elderly mother for a consult with Dr. Vincent Russo, regarding her bad knees and possibly needing replacement. He was very thorough explaining the surgery and recovery process. I do feel like I need more information. I had an MRI at SMIL which said I had a torn miniscus. We did not discuss it. Will it heal on it’s own? We only discussed arthritis I am sill having pain tonight. You told me to give cordisone 24 hours. That will be tomorrow. Also I did not get instruction as to where to go for therapy. My first Appointment with Dr Russo. Not only did I find his comfortable manner and reputable Expertise Superior. I was impressed that he will not suggest surgery Unless it is absolutely necessary. He wants us to be as strong as we can possibly be and not consider surgery until all avenues have been addressed. If Dr Russo says Surgery. He means there is no other way. Dr. Vincent Russo is an outstanding and empathetic physician. He encourages his patients to advocate for their healthcare decisions. Really good listener. Highly recommend him and would not hesitate to have him do surgery should the need arise.

Dr Russo explained what was wrong with my knee and let me choose one of two treatments to heal the knee. I could have a knee replacement or cortizone shot, PT to strengthen my upper thigh to help the knee & icing my knee to reduce swelling behind my knee when my arthritis was acting up. I chose the cortizone route. He scheduled a follow up appointment to see how well it was working which shows he cares about his patient recovery

Took my 92 year old mother with severe hip pain to see Dr. Vincent Russo. He intended to give her an injection to relieve her pain - but, she was unable to get on the exam table because of her pain. However, she had been able to get on the table in the x-ray room as it was several inches lower. Dr. Russo would not accommodate her by giving the injection on the x-ray table. His recommendation was for her to get physical therapy. So, we left without any relief for her pain. In fact, due to several attempts to get her on to the exam table, she left in more pain than when she arrived. Dr. Russo showed very little care or compassion for my mother’s obvious pain. Very disappointing behavior from the surgeon who did her total knee replacement 7 years ago.

Thorough along with his PA. Delivered his diagnosis in an understandable and comfortable fashion. Whole office visit very organized.

I just referred Dr Russo today when my friend was amazed at how well I was walking with only having surgery 2 weeks ago! She looked him up online and saw all of the wonderful things said!

I had my first meeting with Dr. Russo this morning and was duly impressed. There was no waiting and he was very professional, courteous, friendly and knowledgeable,. We had a nice little "Q&A" and he addressed all of my concerns. He definitely gets an A+!!!

My knee replacement was such a success I'm going back for the other knee.

Dr. Russo was exceptional! He spent much time with me explaining the issues I am having and is having me get an MRI of my knee to see if there is anything wrong causing the pain. He also gave me a Cortisone shot in my shoulder to alleviate the pain in my rotator cuff. I would recommend him to everyone who needs an empathetic Dr. who takes pride in his work.
