Dr. Vidalia M. Butler-Poku, M.D., is an experienced obstetrician and gynecologist with a career spanning over 17 years. She considers herself fortunate to have found her true calling in women's healthcare, and she finds deep fulfillment in addressing the diverse health needs of her patients.
Dr. Butler-Poku earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in 1993. She then moved to Chicago to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Cook County Hospital, where she distinguished herself as Chief Resident during her final year of training.
Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Butler-Poku is a devoted wife and mother. She is blessed to walk through life with her husband, Yaw, and is the proud mom of two school-aged children, Phinehas and Hadassah.

Dr. Butler-Poku is a thoughtful, compassionate physician. She is patient and attentive, and you can truly feel that she cares about you, both as a patient and as a woman. I am deeply grateful to have found such a highly qualified and respected doctor and surgeon to care for me. If you live in the San Tan Valley area, you’re fortunate to have her nearby. If you have to drive out of your way to see her, she is absolutely worth the trip!
