Dr. Victor Marinescu is a cardiologist at Midwest Cardiovascular Institute in Naperville.
Dr. Marinescu earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry with high honors in German at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He earned a doctorate of philosophy, cellular and molecular pharmacology at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois, where he also received his medical doctorate. He also holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration and management from the same university.
Dr. Marinescu completed his internal medicine residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, where he also completed his clinical cardiology fellowship. He completed an additional year of fellowship with a focus on advanced imaging in coronary computed tomography angiography (CTA), 3D echo, transesophageal echocardiogram, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging.
Dr. Marinescu is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology, echocardiography, cardiovascular computed tomography, and nuclear cardiology.
