Vicente Mendez, M.D., FACP

Dr. Vicente Mendez, M.D., always knew that medicine was the career path for him. A desire for medical knowledge and a love to learn led Dr. Mendez to complete an internship at Hialeah General Hospital in Hialeah, Florida before continuing his study with an Internal Medicine residency at Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and commencing a health care career that has spanned more than 30 years.

Dr. Mendez is board-certified by the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons and practices at the White-Wilson Internal Medicine Clinic in Crestview. He relocated to the Emerald Coast in 2009 and has since become a well-loved and trusted health care provider among the citizens of Crestview. Dr. Mendez believes in listening with both his ears and his eyes during patient visits, using verbal and nonverbal cues to aid in diagnosis and treatment. He specializes in disease prevention, disease management, wellness care, adult primary care, chronic care and annual wellness exams and has a special interest in diabetes management, rheumatology, and anaplastic disorders.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Mendez enjoys spending time with his family, who he believes should always come first. His hobbies include flying remote-controlled helicopters, photography, playing guitar, working with hit-and-miss engines, boating, and taking care of his birds. Dr. Mendez is also fluent in Spanish.
