Dr. Verapan Vongthavaravat, M.D. received his medical degree from Thailand. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine from MetroWest Medical Center and his Gastroenterology fellowship training at the Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Vong is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He has completed extensive training in the diagnosis and management of disorders of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, liver, and gallbladder.

Following his training, Dr. Vong remained at the University of Oklahoma as Assistant Professor of Medicine in Digestive Diseases Section where he was active with research as well as clinical instruction and supervision of Gastroenterology fellows for three years. He then entered private practice in Washington State from 2005 to 2010. Dr. Vong joined Digestive Disease Specialists, Inc. in January 2011.
Dr. Vong is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He has completed extensive training in the diagnosis and management of disorders of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, liver, and gallbladder. Dr. Vong has special interest and training in advanced therapeutic endoscopic procedures including Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and Endoscopic Ultrasonography (EUS). He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
