Dr. Varinder Kumar, M.D., is board-certified in Rheumatology, Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and Internal Medicine. He is fellowship-trained in Rheumatology from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from the All India Institute of Medical Science and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and St. Vincent’s Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology.

Dr. Varinder Kumar, M.D., has held faculty positions both in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine at the University of Connecticut and Vermont College of Medicine. Prior to moving to Florida, he practiced rheumatology at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, CT. He has also served as an academic Hospitalist at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT, and St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT.
He earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the All India Institute of Medical Science in New Delhi, India, where he also completed a clinical internship and a year of general surgery. Dr. Kumar finished a fellowship in Rheumatology at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, CT, and completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and St. Vincent’s Medical Center.
Dr. Kumar is board-certified in rheumatology, board-certified in hospice and palliative medicine, and board-certified in internal medicine. He is also certified in rheumatology and musculoskeletal ultrasound. He is a member of the Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, American College of Rheumatology, American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and the Society of Hospital Medicine. He is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians and a Fellow in the American College of Rheumatology.
