I'm really hoping that she just had a bad day and wouldn't normally treat a new patient the way she treated me. Not only did she tell me that my experiences were not possible (even though I had anaphylaxis and had to be in the hospital) she actually momentarily FELL ASLEEP while I was talking to her. I thought she was having a stroke or something. I left the office and cried all the way home.

She is very thorough. Pays great attention to everything.

Dr. Patel is an amazing doctor and she knows what she is talking about. The only reason why I am giving 2 stars is because of the the staff and the long wait times. I had a 10:00 am appointment that I arrived early for And I wasn’t called back to be seen by the nurse until 10:40. Not only that, the nurse didn’t acknowledge the fact she was late and I didn’t receive an explanation or an apology.

Thank God for Dr. Patel. She took on my daughter when she was only a few months old and listened to me about my concerns. BECAUSE she listened to me, we were able to identify my daughter’s food allergies (that I wasn’t aware of! I just felt like something was off because my daughter was always breaking out in hives). She literally saved my daughter’s life because she prescribed her epi-pens and when my daughter was accidentally and unknowingly exposed to peanuts two months after our first appointment, that epi saved her life. I truly don’t think she would have made it if we had to wait for EMS to give her epi. My daughter was only 6 months old when that happened… I can’t even think about how that all would have gone down if we didn’t have that epi that Dr. Patel prescribed. We’ve been on this journey with Dr. Patel for about 5 months now and she’s very committed to helping us navigate these allergies and keep our daughter safe. She’s a godsend!! I’m so grateful for her!

Absolutely loved Dr. Patel. My son has been struggling with asthma in and out of hospitals but we finally have a treatment plan and I’m so grateful for that.

Dr.V is the best. She really looks out for her patient. I was having problem with my insurance and getting the right medicine.She look for me another one that it would cover. She took the time to tell me what she was going to do and to make sure I was on the right medication and to bring my stress level down. She simply is the best allergist , hand downs. I love her personality and energy.

I will definitely be calling Monday to make sure I do not see this provider again. She spoke was extremely condescending and questioned every official diagnosis I have received. I felt spoken down to and unheard. I am willing to give the practice another try because the other staff members were extremely sweet, but I will not see Dr. Patel again. She made me feel guilty for having a port making it sound like I didn’t need it when she has no clue of the years of medical hell I have been through. She made me cry once I got to my car and had zero empathy and lots of judgement. I am in so much pain and I am just trying to figure out the cause of my hand and feet pain/rashes. For the future, she shouldn’t question a patient’s prior diagnosis and just try to see if she can help find a solution.

I love it when I am given more time to spend with Dr. Patel. I was on the same medication more than 10 years until she came last year and changed my medication based on the results of my allergy test. I never touched my rescue inhaler since last year.

Dr Patel is wonderful. Her “bedside manner” is excellent. She made me feel comfortable and cared for. She took her time speaking with me and so did her team.

Please stop overbooking your providers! I waited 70 mins to see Dr Patel with my 2 year old and then got to spend only about 10 mins with her. There was no communication from her staff that she was running that far behind! The visit was rushed, things weren’t explained and I hardly had time to ask questions. Updates on medication changes were not addressed after I specifically asked the nurse for them which is unacceptable for a child with food allergies. I work in healthcare and I know that things will never change unless patients complain. It reflects very poorly on your providers and practice. Please do better.

Dr. Patel is always upbeat and friendly. She remembers who I am and what my history is. She asks questions and listens to my concerns. She makes the visit pleasant.

My autistic son was a new patient of hers. She got us in tho we were late (we still had to wait but it was worth it). She heard me out entirely on Sam’s history and backed up what we were already doing Med-wise. She built my confidence as a mom of special needs. The office manager did the skin test and was very kind to Sam. She also gave good advice on the grass allergies.

My son has been Dr. Patel’s patient since he was 1yo when we discovered that he had an anaphylactic peanut allergy. Since that time, she has guided us through some scary asthma flares and helped him successfully graduate from peanut OIT. He’s 9yo now, and he only needs an annual checkup to say hello and keep an eye on his OIT and asthma maitenance. I trust Dr. Patel and her advice for my son. I’m so grateful for her involvement in his care and education for me over the years.

Long time patients, on time, used to long waits, but we require care & don’t begrudge other’s theirs. Today different. Took opening that became available while on phone scheduling appts. Rearranged work sched. & encountered accident ~Exit 10. To be considerate, I immediately got on phone and called to let know it might cause to be late. On hold long time, but did get thru. Ttold “no problem.” I was 10-15 mins late, checked in, got right in for intake. Let mom w/ boy skip ahead of us! Over 1 hr and no one came to room. Finally went to front desk. Did they forget us? Nurse from back said: 1) Dr. Patel already running late, (per usual), 2) she skipped us, 3) no time estimate when she’d see us. By now >1 hr 30 mins late. No one came to say, we’ll be in at “X” time. Felt very abused in this situation. Customers for >10 yrs. My son & I truly walked out feeling worthless and hurt. Sorry I was late, but I’ve always been respectful of you. Felt abuse of power given our situation.

Waited over a half hour to get seen then waited almost an hour when I was toldsomeone would be there to check the results in fifteen minutes then was told I have two allergies and again was neglected to find out the source of what's been going on with my health I mentioned ncs health care system and how I have been neglected and I feel I was treated that way because I said that . Also heard her doctor ask if I had hypertension I said no waiting for a response on why they said that and wasn't told anything so blood pressure or nothing was added so if I die I can grreatfully thank the fine doctor's around North Carolina as a whole now. Trust me I didn't ask to be here and how I've been treated in this state if it was you you'd have an issue with it to but I'm not allowed to feel any type of way I heard the sarcastic comments of employees here saying so much for world peace while I was in the office . Pretty sad and pathetic if you got someone thing to say to or about me speak up !!!

She provides insight to help de-stress this worried Mama and always treats my kids like family. It's refreshing to have a doctor sit down and speak with you without making you feel rushed. She is the best specialist for my kids and I would recommend her to anyone with food or environmental allergies!

Everyone in the office was great. Dr. Patel in wonderful. She listens to you and explains things very well. She tested me while I was there and nothing showed up so she sent me to have patch tests . Will get the results Friday. She is doing everything she can to figure out what I am allergic too. I highly recommend Dr. Patel.
