Vahan Cepkinian, M.D.

Dr. Vahan Cepkinian, M.D. is a board certified, orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement surgery. He is skilled in minimally invasive surgery, as well as advanced techniques in anterior total hip replacement, partial and total knee replacement, and total shoulder replacement. He is also experienced in managing complications of failed or painful hip and knee replacements. Dr. Cepkinian also specializes in treatment of fractures around joint replacements (“periprosthetic fractures”), as well as fractures of the hip, knee, and shoulder.

As an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Cepkinian embraces the opportunity to make immediate, life changing improvements in his patients’ lives, restoring their mobility and getting them back to the activities they love. In his practice, he emphasizes patient education so that patients thoroughly understand their diagnosis and what they can expect from various treatment options. Dr. Cepkinian received his Medical Degree from University of Southern California (USC) School of Medicine after receiving his Bachelors at UCLA. He completed his orthopedic residency at the LAC+USC medical center.

Dr. Cepkinian maintains active membership with several professional organizations including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Academy of Hip and Knee surgeons, and the California Orthopedic Association.
