Umran Senyer, MD

Dr. Umran Senyer joined Texas Digestive Specialists in December 2025.

Dr. Senyer is a board-certified Pediatric Gastroenterologist with extensive experience in delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to children with complex gastrointestinal, liver, and nutritional conditions. Dr. Senyer joins the RGV after serving diverse pediatric populations across Alaska, Louisiana, New York, Oklahoma, and California.

Dr. Senyer completed medical school at Hacettepe University School of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey, followed by pediatric residency training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She went on to complete a competitive fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at the OU Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, where she also served as Chief Fellow and led multiple clinical quality-improvement initiatives.

She joins us from Alaska, where she led multidisciplinary IBD care, advanced quality-improvement initiatives, and collaborated with regional pediatric teams to expand GI services statewide.

Dr. Senyer is committed to providing family-centered, culturally sensitive, and accessible care. She looks forward to serving children and families throughout the RGV. She is available for consultations in our McAllen and Harlingen locations.
