Umesh Gowda, MD

Umesh S. Gowda, MD, FACC, is board-certified and fellowship-trained in interventional cardiology. Since 2009, Dr. Gowda has provided one-of-a-kind care to his patients at Bay Area Cardiology Associates PA located in Brandon, Sun City Center, Riverview, and Tampa, Florida.He has endovascular medicine, vascular medicine, cardiovascular CT, and nuclear cardiology certifications. Dr. Gowda is a graduate of Karnataka Medical College in India. After receiving his training, he served on the medical faculty in the Department of Internal Medicine at Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, New York. He completed his fellowship training at the State University of New York in Brooklyn, New York City. Before joining Bay Area Cardiology Associates PA, Dr. Gowda worked with a private practice group specializing in cardiovascular medicine at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, Florida. His specialties include coronary angioplasty procedures, peripheral vascular, angioplasty/stenting/atherectomy procedures, structured heart disease procedures, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, CT coronary angiography, and interpretation of non-invasive vascular studies.
