After completing his Bachelor of Science in chemistry at South Dakota School Mines and Technology in Rapid City, South Dakota, Dr. Handcock went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine in Vermillion, South Dakota.
Dr. Handcock then completed his OB/GYN residency at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine, Baylor Scott and White Health (BSW) in Temple, Texas.
He holds a Texas medical license and is a professional member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the American Medical Association (AMA).
In addition to excellent patient care, Dr. Handcock has been voted best teacher by Texas A&M medical students, best upper-level teacher by his colleagues, and best upper-level teaching resident. He’s also received the best surgeon award from AAGL.
When he’s not taking care of his patients, Dr. Handcock volunteers his time promoting fitness and health. He is an avid runner qualifying and competing in the Boston Marathon multiple times. He also enjoys outdoor activities with his partner, Dan, and their dog Finnigan.
Dr Handcock has been my provider for over 8 years and I love him. He’s so kind, compassionate, and respectful. He always has plenty of time for me and all my questions. He always responds right away to my questions on the portal and is always very knowledgeable.

He took the time to listen to my concerns, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and made the entire appointment feel relaxed and comfortable. His kindness, professionalism, and ability to make me laugh turned what could have been a stressful visit into a genuinely positive experience. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring, compassionate, and personable doctor.
