Always attentive, easy to understand, great office and bedside manners And follow-up with a personal phone call after a procedure.

Direct, polite, answers questions. Seemed stressed and rushed. I arrived 30 min prior to appointment time as requested in the 12 reminder messages received prior to the appointment (a variety of phone and text messages and yes I actually counted them it was so excessive!). Arrived at 1:30 as requested for a 2pm appointment and was taken back at 3:50 pm. For this reason and no particularly outstanding level of care I would seek an alternative physician if I needed an orthopedic again.

Very professional and friendly. Great bed-side manner. Listens and hears his patient. Takes the time to listen and answer my questions that I clearly understand and know my treatment options. I always recommend him to others. Thank you

I’ve seen a few different doctors at Pinnacle and they’ve all been great (especially Burris); however Dr. Starnes has possibly the worst bedside manner out of any doctor I’ve ever had. He was rude and uncaring. He did not answer some of my questions and just stared at me like I was a nuisance for wanting an answer (or even just a best guess) as to why a certain area was in pain when he diagnosed a different area. I understand the need to poke and prod around when coming in with muscle/tendon pain but when I told him a certain area was hurting badly after he pressed it, he proceeded to press harder and continued to do so every time I said an area he was pressing hurt. It felt very sadistic. I left in more pain than when I came in and with a half-cocked diagnosis. I will fully dissuade anyone from seeing him if possible. Worst experience with any doctor ever.

Very poor bedside manners . Non-caring body language, tone of voice and even what he says. Does not foster trustworthiness.
