I asked a question ... After having daily pain for well over two months I was anxious to see the doctor. Due to a mix-up in communication between Premier and the information they needed (which I feel they should have contacted my local doctor's office instead of me) I did not have the disc for my late morning appointment, it was unavailable until 2:30PM. I did have results and doctors' notes. I asked was there any openings or late appointments, after being told he may not see me without the disc. Well... he did see me, ask a question or two, had me lift my feet, for a hands-on test? Then he totally shocked me. He reprimanded me for asking could anything be done, was there a later opening? HE TELLS ME " THIS IS NOT A MCDONALD'S. I HAVE OTHER PATIENTS.'" I know it's not and I understand that I responded. Questions are unacceptable, Premier is not McDonalds, and dr. Thurman is very Rude and Arrogant. That is what I learned from my recent visit. Other visits and Doctors were respectful.

Consulted with doctor Thurman this morning and once again came up with another new plan for reducing the reoccurring pain in my right hip. Thank you again Premier for working with me on all my issues.

Dr Thurman was exactly the orthopedist I was looking for, someone who specializes in conservative treatment, understands the effect of pain on every day life. He was very thorough and thoughtful as we formed a plan to confirm my dx with an MRI and 6 weeks of physical therapy before choosing whether a spinal injection would be necessary.

Dr. Thurman is exceptionally knowledgeable, capable and confident. The reason for my three star review is an interaction we had at my last appointment. Firstly, for context, I missed my previous appointment and had to reschedule the one before it last minute. During this latest appointment, Dr. Thurman mentioned one experimental - and un-covered - procedure, and another that I was unfamiliar with. As a result I told him I was considering a second opinion before figuring out how to proceed, and his demeanor changed immediately. With his hand on the door handle, he told me that if I missed or was late for another appointment, he would have to drop me as a client. My missed and late visits are absolutely my fault, and I don’t deny it was fair to have that talk, or even just drop me outright, but the timing and delivery made it feel like a threat for my seeking a second opinion. I don’t know if that was his intent , but that was how it came across.

Dr. Thurman has my back, literally! I trust him so much with my care. He always helps me figure things out for best moving forward. Thank you!

I gave this office a second chance, only to be met with an almost two hour delay because of incompetence in reading my MRI on cd. The Drs response to the delay, not an apology but excuses and blame for my previous provider. Then he had the arrogance to say I was missing out on the “only Harvard trained Dr in WY”. I’m guessing there are some in Colorado, and at least I’ll know I have to take the whole afternoon off just to be seen in a timely manner.

Dr Thurman is amazing. He takes his time and really tries to isolate problems so that he can administer the proper treatment. I can tell he really cares about his patients.

Just had my 2nd series of lower back injections from Dr. Thurman, he has done a great job both times and without pain. Hopefully this one will last as long as the last one as he was able to provide me with pain relief for several months. I highly recommend him, especially to anyone who has had negative experiences with others.

Not impressed. I have seen him several times and each time I feel rushed. Not great bedside manner. My injury also was not addressed. I have seen him several times for this injury and feel as though it's just " oh well what do you mean the meds didn't work. Well then let's get updated imaging." There should be more to my treatment plan by now.

I’d seen other orthopedist n they didn’t inform me of the bad problem I had on images taken this last year. My spinal canal is severely compromised in cervical region with very little spinal fluid. He took the time to throughly show n explain on the image other docs didn’t.

He was the first physician I have seen in the last 18 years who has been truthful with me. Even though there is nothing that can be done to help. I finally have an answer to what has been going on all these years after numerous procedures.

I don't believe that he was interested in what I had to say about my neurological issues. It seems that doctors today don't really want to explain possible theories.He left the room and said he would be back and never reappeared .That was rude in my opinion.

I've only been to see Dr. Thurman once, and he seems very competent and thorough. However, the one caveat is that When my back had really been bothering me, I was told I had to have a regular sit down appointment with him before the could schedule me for an epidural. So that was a month out. When I arrived, he discussed how, in the last number of years, nothing really had changed with my injury and that my rate of epidurals were consistent. He asked how the last epidural was, then concluded by stating he will put in the notes that I can schedule an appointment anytime from here on out. He is a good Dr, and I'm not knocking him for that, but procedurally there is room for improvement. I took the day off, waited twenty minutes, and spoke with him for around five minutes. Honestly this could have been taken care of looking at a patient's chart, deducing your own conclusions from the history, and either send out a survey, questionnaire, or having his nurse contact the patient.

Seemed rushed

He is a very very good doctor. My first appointment he was very attentive and explained things very well and we had a plan in place. My epidural injection went smoothly in June. My appointment for today I was in extreme amount of pain and my appointment was at 10:55. I arrived at 10:30 and was called about 11:15 after I asked how much longer. The nurse was very compassionate and took me to a room to lay down and did inform me he was running behind. About 5-10 minutes later Dr. Thurman came in. He was thinking of all the possible options to help me with my pain, but he did feel that the only thing left to do was surgery. I would have liked to talk to him a bit more about getting an injection in my knee there in the office, but I didn’t get a chance to do so because the visit was cut short. I think maybe it was because he was trying to get things done fast so I could get home soon because of how bad I felt. But. I wish I would have had more time with him like the patient before me.

Bright, quick, easy diagnosis, didn't have the time to learn more about how the neck evolved to the present condition. Needs to let the patient be more involved in the treatment process. Too busy with more patients at the end of the day.. I will know more after we see how treatment goes.

He is absolutely wonderful! He actually listened to me and made me feel like a human being and not a drug seeker. I was giving up on my pain because I was labeled that, he did a thorough examination, including a mri that found a problem with my neck which requires surgery. He also suggested shots but they won't help this problem, so he and I decided to get a surgeon to evaluate the condition. I'm absolutely impressed with him and the staff. Everyone is so pleasant and I wasn't anxious for once in my life when visiting a new doctor. I recommend Dr.Thurman to everyone I know. Thank you Dr.Thurman for making me feel like I wasn't crazy. 5 stars all around!

Not only is he exceptionally knowledgeable. But he also listens with incredible empathy although I’m sure he sees people in pain all day long. He still makes you feel like you’re the only patient that matters at the moment. He continues to investigate until he gets to the bottom of the issue.
