Following residency, Dr. Stevens became a clinical fellow in orthopedic trauma at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, NY. His fellowship training had an emphasis on the management of high energy multi-trauma patients, complex peri-articular injuries, pelvic and acetabular fractures and post-traumatic reconstruction including mal-unions and non-unions. He trained in the management of fractures of the upper extremity including shoulder, elbow and wrist, as well as lower extremity injuries including the management of complex peri-implant and peri-prosthetic fractures and fractures of the hip, knee, ankle and foot.
The recipient of numerous honors and awards for leadership and scholarship, as well as community and volunteer service, Dr. Stevens also coauthored numerous research projects, presentations and articles in peer-reviewed publications throughout his education.
Dr. Stevens lives in Wilmington with his wife and daugther. He is a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina and is excited to return back to the state to live and work. In his spare time, Dr. Stevens enjoys running, riding bikes on the city trails, golf and spending the day at the beach with his family.

Top tier, The best in every catagory
Dr Stevens is wonderful. He is the type of Dr you want. He takes the time to explain things and answer questions. He is caring and compassionate. I couldn't have been anymore satisfied. I was lucky to have him as my Dr. He did an awesome job repairing my ankle.
Waited in waiting room for 45 minutes. Was told there were still 2 more patients ahead of me when I was called to go into the back. I had to reschedule as I had other appointments scheduled that day. I think a 45 minute wait is too long.
Very thorough & professional. Dr Stevens relieved pre-op stress by giving a thorough explanation of the procedure, his options & outcomes. Made me feel positive & confident in the post-op review. Thank you for a very professional support team as well!
A truly caring position, who spends time with his patients and shows caring and compassion to all who meet him. He has done work on my clavicle, my wrist, and my hip, and all three of them have been highly successful and pain-free. I highly recommend him his skills and his medical knowledge to everyone.
