Travis Lipscomb, O.D.

Dr. Travis Lipscomb, O.D., is an optometrist at Colorado Ophthalmology Associates who sees a wide breadth of patients for comprehensive eyecare. He enjoys seeing patients for routine eye exams, our ophthalmologist’s surgical patients for pre- and post-operative appointments, fitting patients in specialty contact lenses, and providing medical eye care for those with glaucoma and other chronic ocular diseases. He believes helping patients understand their complaints and issues through patient education is paramount.

Dr. Lipscomb grew up in Dallas, Texas where he graduated high school and then attended The University of Texas at Austin for his undergraduate studies. There he received a BSA in biology with a minor in statistics. He then received his Doctor of Optometry from Inter American University of Puerto Rico where he graduated with honors finishing third in his class. He enjoyed his time in Puerto Rico working on his Spanish and seeing patients all over the island. He also performed externships in Dallas, Texas and Lakewood, Colorado during his final year of school. During his studies and early years in practice he has come to love seeing a variety of patients and medical cases, and enjoys fitting patients that need specialty contact lenses. During his time in school, he also traveled to Panama to perform services for underserved communities through his participation in the Lion’s Club.

Outside of work he enjoys golfing, skiing, and following his favorite sports teams with his wife. He also has family in the Arvada area, and loves spending time with nieces and nephews.
