Dr. Tsismenakis is a top notch surgeon. The Down East Orthopedics operating facility is new, super clean and up to date. When they wheeled me in to the operating room for my hip replacement surgery, I counted a team of 7 professionals standing by their posts and focused on the job at hand. Dr. Tsismenakis replaced my hip joint, and three hours later I was in the car headed home. I had no issues at all post surgery. My outcome was really good. Six weeks after surgery my physical therapist discontinued my appointments. I hiked the Gorge trail at Acadia National Park yesterday, 7 weeks post surgery. Dr. Tsismenakis knows what he is doing. If you need to get your hip replaced, this is the go to doctor.
