He was running late and was in a rush.

Was in and out in 20 minutes.

The PA we seen was very rude and did not know how to explain things to us. My wife has dementia and he only wanted to talk to her. We did not get to see the doctor.

Dr V was So sweet!

I visited Dr. Volkman on Feb 20. He answered my numerous questions and seemed genuinely concerned regarding the significant arthritis in my back and neck. His prescribed treatment is appropriate, and the timeline for my follow-up appointment ensures he will provide appropriate monitoring of my arthritis issue.

Seems to have not understood the amount of pain I was in. Probably would’ve been helpful discussing what treatments have worked, equally important, haven’t worked for me in past. Treating my pain correctly was a barometer for whether he comprehended the situation I am in…. I really do think he’s a nice guy. He just isn’t the Dr I have so needed. I’ll just learn to live w/pain.

He always listens and seems genuinely concerned!

Wonderful man (& doctor)! Very professional and knowledgeable. We get right to the problem and and if he feelsit necessary, he gets it fixed. Other than that, he'll tell you what you need to do... and you should listen. I learned that the hard way.

Dr Volkman listen to my complaint, asked questions, then requested x-rays. After viewing x-rays made recommendations. He was very thorough.

Did not see Dr Volkman but saw his PA. The PA was excellent. He was personable, informative and caring. I just can't enough about how impressed and pleased with him! .

I did not see Dr. Volkman, as I saw some other doctor. I am a little upset that when I went to get my prescription, it was not ready because it was not signed by the doctor and no one called the pharmacy back to take care of the matter. I have been in pain for three weeks more and when I called the office at 4:00pm all I got was a recording and I didn’t get my medicine because no one called the pharmacy back. I am in pain as I am writing this. I hope that you will call CVS at (251) 471-2591 and get my prescription taken care of so I can get it filled. I would really appreciate it. But I will be calling you back in the morning. FYI - I prefer that when I make an appointment with Dr. Volkman that is who I would appreciate that I see him. Now please call and take care of my medication please. Thanks .

Didn't feel my condition or myself was valued. Felt visit was too short and not thorough. Felt my condition was not taken seriously. Felt like I was treated like an elderly person who should expect to be in pain. Visited in pain and left in pain with few options for pain relief.

He seemed nervous and did not provide much of a solution.

I was in a wreck in January and I have been to six different doctors trying to find a solution. It has been so frustrating dealing with horrible bedside manners. Every doctor that I seen was in and out of the room giving me no answers and no time to ask my questions.Two of the doctors I never even seen, instead they sent in their PA! The last seven months completely took all my faith in doctors away. Dr.Volkman restored that faith, not only did he come in and have a seat but he explained everything very clearly and answered all of my questions. He’s a very sincere man and I would recommend him to everyone seeking what is now rare, an honest nice doctor!

Doctor Volkman has performed 3 cervical disc operations on my neck and once on my back , after 6 month post op visit, Last Cervical surgery was unfortunately not a success , hopefully this next one will finally have it just right !

The first visit I had I felt rushed because all the computers were down when I got there and they were behind. The second visit was much better. He set with me and listened to ever question and he didn't seem like he had to be anywhere else. I like that in a Doc.

Never saw the doctor today. Only saw the PA. Seems that I “misunderstood “ the information provided last time. Not sure how, because it was pretty devastating. We are “starting over.” New X-rays today and an MRI.

I have had excellent care from Dr Volkman and his staff.

I had to ask questions to understand my x-rays. His explanation wasn't clear. I also wanted to see... my x-rays. He sent a nurse in to further explain my situation. She did great.

Dr. Volkman listened to what I had to say, did a thorough exam, examined X-rays and ordered an MRI to help diagnose my problem so we could come up with a plan to help me feel better.

He has been my MD for years, he's awesome!

Lower back pain. Dr Volkman looked at my xrays and had me do various flexibility stances for my back. Recommended 3-4 weeks home exercises and a new anti inflammatory med. First time visit and he seemed thorough.

I saw Clint Duncan, PA and he was extremely helpful. Explained everything so I easily understood.

I didn't see Dr Volkman, instead his PA came to see me. In which I regret, he wasn't understanding and insensitive too my needs and concerns! I won't go back.

Knew exactly my injury

My last visit, Dr V, was in the room with me less than 1 (one) minute. It reminded me of Petersen. Everyone is busy, but it SHOULD NOT be that way when I visit your office. He should have taken the time to talk with me, ask more than one question or at least ask if I had any questions before leaving the room. Just feel like one of your ‘cattle’... heard them in, get her out!! It should never be this way!!

Only saw him on a consult, but the patient and her companion were both a bit shocked at his abruptness and lack of being a good communicator. He spends as little time as possible, which is probably why he was on time for our appointment.

I have a great doctor, I just hope he will be able to make my back better. He had to put in a call to workmanship comp to see if they can get me a MRI .

Excellent service

I spent the last 8 years in pain, and was on the verge of disability with continued degradation of my condition. Dr. Volkman and Dr. Duncan fixed me up proper. They pulled me out of a bad place i had fallen into due too chronic pain and depression.

I saw Clinton Duncan today, he was great. Got me what I needed, fast. The whole staff was a pleasure to deal with. That’s why I left Alabama Orthapedic, not sure why I went there so long, I never liked them much but tolerated it because my back hurt.

I didnt actually see Dr Volkman. His staff is exemplary. Courteous, knowlegable and efficient. I arrived early for a 1:30 appointment. They got me in, took great care of me and still had me out before my appointed time.

I saw Dr. Volkman on a Friday with severe back pain. They immediately ran tests, got answers quickly, he did my surgery the following Monday and my recovery happened in exactly 8 weeks as he told me it would. He did a great job of managing my pain

Apparently like others, he judges people by appearance. My DR retired (Dempsey) Primary referred me. He did not even look at my records, and tried to convince me what I had been treated for, 4 yrs by Dempsey was not an actual problem. Dr RUDE

Clint is the best. Educated on pros/cons of 3 TX options, SX to watch for in the future, and gave me RX I needed.

Dr Volkman sat with me and my wife and answerd all our question on my pending operation. He answered My wife’s questions just as if she were the one with the problems. He also did not try to push me into having a surgery.
