Dr. Todd Phillips, M.D., is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow care. He earned his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine after completing undergraduate studies in Biomedical Engineering and Applied Mathematics at the University of Virginia. He went on to complete his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, followed by a Shoulder & Elbow Fellowship at the Paley Institute—Holy Cross in Boca Raton, Florida.

Prior to joining The CORE Institute, Dr. Phillips completed his Shoulder & Elbow Fellowship at the Paley Institute—Holy Cross in Boca Raton, Florida, where he trained with nationally recognized leaders in the field, including Jonathan Levy, MD. Before his fellowship, he completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He earned his medical doctoral degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and his undergraduate degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Applied Mathematics from the University of Virginia.
Dr. Phillips’ philosophy of care focuses on understanding each patient’s unique needs and goals. He takes into account medical history, lifestyle, and support systems to guide patients through both operative and non-operative treatment options, helping them find the approach that best fits their lives.
He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Phillips enjoys performing live music on guitar, piano, and vocals. He also enjoys playing chess and trivia, officiating weddings, and staying active with strength training and swimming.
