Todd E. Fountain, MD is a board-certified neurosurgeon who specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery and robotic-assisted spine surgery for cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine conditions. In 2023 and 2024, he was even recognized as a Top Doctor in Neurosurgery and Spine Surgery.
At Louisiana Orthopaedic Specialists, he will help treat patients with different types of spinal issues, including herniated discs, spinal arthritis and stenosis, complex spine problems, spinal cord tumors, and peripheral nerve issues. With his unique expertise and skill set, he will work alongside our four other spine specialists to provide a comprehensive level of spinal care for Acadiana.

He completed his medical school training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and his Neurosurgery Residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN before serving as a Professor of Neurosurgery and Director of the Neurosurgical Fellowship through the University of Tennessee Medical Center.

Amazing, very intelligent guy!
Totally impressed by Dr Fountain's knowledge, demeanor & compassion. For surgery, his bedside manner calmed me & gave me confidence in his expertise. I woke with minimal surgical pain & zero cervical stenosis pain. He is a remarkable physician who truly cares about his patients concerns & healing. First folliw up visit was remarkable. His surgical expertise has made a big difference for my life. Looking forward to living with no stenosis pain. Thank you Dr Fountain!!

Dr. Fountain is a very professional & talented orthopedic surgeon. He is also very good at explaining the surgery and what to expect. He used Non Invasive Surgery to remove a bulging disk and to fuse two vertebra which allowed for a very quick recovery.
