Todd E. Fountain, MD is a board-certified neurosurgeon who specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery and robotic-assisted spine surgery for cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine conditions. In 2023 and 2024, he was even recognized as a Top Doctor in Neurosurgery and Spine Surgery.
At Louisiana Orthopaedic Specialists, he will help treat patients with different types of spinal issues, including herniated discs, spinal arthritis and stenosis, complex spine problems, spinal cord tumors, and peripheral nerve issues. With his unique expertise and skill set, he will work alongside our four other spine specialists to provide a comprehensive level of spinal care for Acadiana.
“LOS is accomplishing something special, and it was immediately apparent when meeting the dedicated physicians and health care staff,” said Dr. Fountain. “I knew I had found a new home and family where we could continue to grow both spiritually and professionally.”
Before joining our team, Dr. Fountain practiced for 15 years at the Semmes Murphey Clinic in Memphis, TN, which is a leading destination for neurosurgical care in the United States. He completed his medical school training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and his Neurosurgery Residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN before serving as a Professor of Neurosurgery and Director of the Neurosurgical Fellowship through the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
