He is fellowship-trained through Tauranga Hospital in New Zealand, specializing in hip and knee replacement, and the University of Utah Orthopedic Specialty Hospital, in sports medicine and arthroscopy.
"I have always enjoyed sports and I love helping athletes get back to playing sports. I hope to contribute to a life with less pain and greater function for all my patients. Nothing inspires me more than hearing I’ve made someone’s life better."
As a native of Southern Oregon, Dr. Clevenger enjoys virtually any outdoor activity but has a particular passion for whitewater kayaking and rafting, fly-fishing, and alpine skiing.

He seems a nice person, but left me wondering if he was all that interested in helping me. I guess all doctors just seem to be in a hurry now, as there are too many patients lined up. I don't want to feel like a number.

Very direct and we loved it so their was no confusion.
I had for years Dr. Townsend in Ashland and he retired and I thought I would never find someone as great as him but to my surprise I mt Dr. Clevenger and I believe he is every bit as good and just a all around good guy! Thx. DOC!
Excellent doctor very hapoy with his care and treatment.
I felt very at ease with Dr. Clevenger, his knowledge about my issue was very comforting to me. He knew exactly how to correct the problem promptly.

Dr C did a complete left knee replacement and a left tibia repair 2 years ago …I now need a new right knee replacement…the only clinic I will go to is SO Orthopedic’s and Dr C is fantastic Surgeon…in fact all the surgeons and staff are top notch
Personable, quick to assess my knee issue. Offered three options. I felt well taken care of.
