She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Georgia State University and went on to complete her medical education at the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa. She later completed a comprehensive surgical residency at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Illinois.
Following her residency, Dr. James practiced with UW Health for over six years. She is board-certified in Podiatric Medicine and specializes in sports medicine, pediatric foot care, traumatic foot injuries, and diabetic foot conditions.
