Very patient and kind, great with children! I was concerned because my daughter is on the spectrum and has tantrums at doctors but Dr. Chan wasn’t phased and was able to distract her to complete the exam

Dr. Chan was very nice, however I feel like our time with her was very rushed. The nurse who took us into the room did most of the exam which I wasn’t thrilled about. The doctor came in and very briefly asked my son a few questions, put a few lenses in front of his eyes, and was done. I didn’t feel very confident that he received the correct prescription for his glasses.

Dr. Chan asked us parents of my 4 year old daughter to hold her legs between my legs and hold her hands and head down while she administered the eye drops. This was barbaric. She never explained the process to us or our child, never asked us for our thoughts on how to approach. Very very inhumane. I later called her and expressed my concern because at that time I was in total shock. She apologized but kept saying that she would prefer this approach at children this age as the outcome is always the same.

Dr. Chan is always thorough with her exams. She is great at answering any questions or concerns.

Dr. Chan was awesome. I'm very pleased with everything. She explained everything that was going on with his eye and she made me feel at ease. No complaints. Thank you Dr. Chan!!

She is very informative and works well with the children. She is kind and talks you through anything she needs to do.

Dr. Chan is warm and kind, as is her front office staff. The office is clean and neat. The wait times are typically very reasonable. Occasionally, as with all pediatric offices, there are busier times and wait times can be long. However, the staff is always apologetic. I highly recommend using Dr. Chan.

She always so kind and understanding of my concerns. We are able to come up with plans together and always reaccess in a timely manner. I am happy to have her as my daughters eye surgeon and doctor.

Amazing bedside manner with children; she is engaging, thorough, clear, and concise. She was able to explain to my kindergartner using language he would understand! Every staff member is professional and appropriately engaging with children of varying ages. Amazing experience!

Dr. Tineke listened carefully and patiently to my many questions about getting prism lenses, and even took the time to re-write the prescription for prism lenses several times. I will want to follow up after getting and trying my new reading glasses.

Dr. Chan is great with children. She encourages and teaches them why it’s important to visit the eye doctor in a way they can understand and makes it a lot less scary for little ones and parents too!
