Dr. Chan is excellent with my child. She's not specifically the warmest Dr when talking to the parents but she gets her point across and thoroughly explains any and all information. To me, the most important thing is that my toddler is comfortable with her and that most definitely is the case!

Dr. Chan is highly professional and compassionate. She conversed with my child, asking pointed and direct questions regarding his eyes and vision. She gave a detailed prognosis and options for treatment, as well as her professional opinion regarding each option.

A New Jersey native, Dr. Tineke Chan earned her B.A. from Georgetown University and her Medical Degree at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey. She completed a Residency in Ophthalmology at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and spent another year in fellowship further specializing in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. She is board-certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and is a Fellow of both the American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
