Dr. Timothy Stapleton has his primary focus in sports medicine, shoulder reconstruction, and joint replacement. He is board-certified by American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and also holds a sub-speciality certification in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. Dr. Stapleton has served as the primary team physician for the Mercer University athletic program. He continues to proudly serve his Alma Mater in this capacity. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery for Mercer University School of Medicine and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery for the Uniformed Services University of Health Services.
He has authored multiple papers on anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, elbow arthroscopy, and rotator cuff repair.

Dr. Stapleton spent time going over injury and how to rehabilitate it and take care of it post-healing. He is very knowledgable, communicative and helpful.
Dr Stapleton is so good with patients. He had done a knee surgery snd 2 shoulder surgeries on me and I am well pleased with the outcome. Josh, his PA , is great also. Josh really explains things well also and is so friendly and caring.
I saw Josh for my theee month injection to my left knee. Josh was very knowledgable and performed flawlessly with both the shot snd the follow on questions.
Dr. Stapleton is awesome. Great Doctor and a great man. He's funny, kind and caring for his patients. He's been my doctor for 26 years and has done 3 of my surgeries.
