Dr. Sauter was very professional and explained everything very well. He made me feel good about the operation. I also want to add his front desk staff really think highly of him. They have amazing recommendations. Everyone was very nice!

Dr. Sauter was pleasant, but I left feeling dismissed. Before he entered, I heard his nurse relaying my history. When she repeated what I had faithfully reported the sonographer told me, I heard laughter and “There’s no such thing…” I had not self-diagnosed; I was reporting what I was told during my imaging. Hearing this outside my door was embarrassing and set the tone for the visit. I am cash-pay and rarely seek medical care. Dr. Sauter came highly recommended by my midwife, so I waited 2+ months and drove across town despite closer options. I spent ~$1,700 investigating symptoms serious enough to concern me. I am grateful my imaging and exam were reassuring—that is exactly what I wanted. But my exam felt cursory, and questions were brushed aside. I left with a pelvic-floor referral (appreciated) and the impression I wasn’t taken seriously or worth the doctor’s time. Normal results are wonderful; they do not make the symptoms of pain, heaviness, perineal burning, etc, frivolous.
