With extensive experience in the field of sports medicine, Dr. Petsche offers the latest advancements in orthopedic treatments. Patients receive comprehensive diagnosis and treatment options, with risks and benefits discussed. Patients also receive extensive education so they can make informed decisions based on their own health and expectations.
Dr. Petsche works with a team that includes medical assistants, nurses, physician assistants, and others to provide the best comprehensive care. Each team member works closely with physical and occupational therapists to help patients regain pain-free range of motion, strength, and function after injury or surgery.
An athlete himself, Dr. Petsche prides himself as someone who athletes and sports enthusiasts can relate to. From participation in such youth sports as baseball, football, basketball, soccer, gymnastics and golf, Dr. Petsche went on to compete in All-State and All-American springboard diving in high school. At the University of Michigan, Dr. Petsche was an accomplished Division 1 athlete, and member of the swim and diving team that went on to win four consecutive Big Ten championships during his tenure. Today, Dr. Petsche enjoys golf, mountain bike riding, disc golf, swimming, lifting weights, water and snow skiing, wake surfing, badminton, pickleball, and hiking.

Great communication and manner
We live in Colorado, but moved from St. Charles. I came back to have Dr. Petsche operate on my shoulder because he is the only one I would trust. Knowledgable, thorough, and highly skilled, he is my go to choice for orthopedic surgery!
Very personable and straightforward. I truly trust him and his work ethic.
Dr. Petsche took time to establish rapport and put me at ease. He is highly professional and knowledgeable. He asked in depth questions about my symptoms and how it was interfering in my daily life. He was able communicate in a thorough yet easy to understand language why i was experiencing so much pain. I’m grateful for his diagnosis and giving me a solid plan toward healing.
Dr. Petsche is always thorough and kind. I also got in to see him same day after an injury over the weekend.

Dr. Petsche is that doctor! A professional. Knowledgeable. Respectful. Encouraging. Patient oriented. He is very thorough and demonstrates in a way that the patient leaves the visit with a grave understanding regarding treatment and a plan of care moving forward. He's very uplifting. Honest. I could go on, but there would be no space. What an excellent doctor and an ASSET to his profession. Thank you Dr. Petsche!!
I’ve had 2 surgeries with Dr. Petsche. He’s fantastic.
I’d give him 10 stars if I could. Had my rotator cuff repaired. He came to see me before heading into the operating room to answer any questions of mine. Saw him after waking up in the recovery room. Reassured me that he fixed more extensive damage than expected. Very confident and capable doctor. I won’t go to another doctor.
Dr. Petschke, is the shoulder guru. He did my right shoulder last year, and its all good. He just did my left, and Im on my way to being healthy. A true master at his profession
