Dr. Murphy grew up in Greensboro and studied at Wake Forest University before earning his medical degree from the University of North Carolina. With a background in competitive athletics, he brings personal insight and empathy to his patients. Total and partial hip and knee joint replacement, including the direct anterior hip approach

Dr. Murphy always provides the greatest medical and gives me time to ask questions and makes sure I have a good understanding of the visit and any findings. He was my sons Orthopedic doctor during his wrestling career and has always provided excellent care.

I have seen Dr. Murphy in the past and have received excellent care. Today was no different. He is very knowledgeable and he has a great bedside manner. I got an injection for hip bursitis and was feeling better walking out of the office. I would highly recommend him.
He listens to my concerns and provides excellent care.
Doctor was in and out, fairly quickly. Follow up X-ray, recast come back in 3 weeks. We didn’t actually see new X-ray, but I guess we didn’t have to. Office was full so I know they were busy. Not enough parking.
