Timothy Murphy, MD

Dr. Timothy Murphy, M.D., is an experienced orthopedic surgeon serving Greensboro at EmergeOrtho’s North Church Street Orthopedic Clinic. He provides specialty care, including joint replacement, arthroscopy, and sports medicine for patients of all ages and activity levels.

Dr. Murphy grew up in Greensboro and studied at Wake Forest University before earning his medical degree from the University of North Carolina. With a background in competitive athletics, he brings personal insight and empathy to his patients. He has provided orthopedic services for elite collegiate athletes as well as competitive local high school athletes. His attentive approach applies to each patient, regardless of activity level.

At EmergeOrtho, Dr. Murphy focuses on providing comprehensive orthopedic care with a patient-centered approach to meet the needs of those he serves. He offers:
Arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder, hip, and elbow, including ACL reconstruction
Total and partial hip and knee joint replacement, including the direct anterior hip approach
