He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale. Dr. Hiesterman continued on to a traditional rotating internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Kettering Health Dayton/Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. He committed to additional training by undergoing an orthopedic trauma fellowship at Regions Hospital/University of Minnesota in St. Paul.

Very thorough on my visit with him. Found did not need surgery like I was told previously. He went through why and redid xrays and showed my why he diagnosed the way he did. Good news to me!
