Dr. Timothy L. Frerichs graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and received his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. Dr. Frerichs completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of South Alabama, Orthopaedic Surgery Department and went on to complete double fellowship training in Foot and Ankle at Desert Orthopaedic Center under Dr. Troy Watson and Sports Medicine at the Andrews Institute under Dr. James Andrews.
Dr. Frerichs specializes in treating conditions of the foot and ankle, shoulder, knee and other sports related injuries. He also specializes in arthroscopy of the foot ankle knee and shoulder.
Dr. Frerichs was born in Pensacola but now calls Orange Beach home. He became interested in orthopaedics after having spine surgery at age 19. Dr. Frerichs and his wife, Cori, are raising three children Kiele, Mya and Chase. He enjoys weightlifting, SEC football, fishing and spending quality time with his wife and children. His family is involved in church and various sporting activities.

Everyone at the office was super nice
Visit for follow up on foot & toe (different feet) problems. Professional but friendly demeanor. Listened well & gave fast response. Did injection (toe) himself. Quick & almost painless.
I used Dr. Frerichs for a bursis surgery about 5 years ago. He did a fantastic job them and so when I had a potential rotator cuff issue he was my first choice. I was not disappointed, Got in in a hurry and his PA did a great job with the ultrasound and explained what she found. Dr. Frerichs followed up with an immediate plan to get the answers we need so we can get on quickly to recovery. I highly recommend.
Dr. Frerichs was kind addressed my injury easy to talk to and explained injury. Set me on a path to recovery! Highly recommended!
