Dr. Tim Degan is a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine.
Dr. Degan is a second-generation orthopedic surgeon, originally from Seattle, Washington, and has been involved in all facets of patient treatment from a young age. His interest in sports medicine stems from his own experience as an athlete, as well as a patient, throughout his college football career.
Before joining The CORE Institute, Dr. Degan spent time caring for patients at The San Antonio Orthopaedic Group (Burkhart Research Institute for Orthopaedics) and Baylor Medicine during his sports medicine fellowship in Texas. Throughout his time in Texas, he also served on the Physician Teams for the Texas A&M University Football team, the San Antonio Missions AAA Baseball team, and the Houston Sabercats Rugby team. Dr. Degan received his residency training from Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. He earned his doctoral degree from Midwestern University. Dr. Degan began his undergraduate studies at the University of Montana in Missoula, where he played on the football team and completed his undergraduate degree at Carroll College.
