He did his internship and residency in Internal medicine and a fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine at UT Southwestern. Everyone was very friendly. Didn’t have to wait at all. Just a very pleasant atmosphere and experience. Only took an hour for testing and diagnosis. I felt so much better about my COPD when I left. Dr. Chappell really encouraged me to exercise so that I’ll not only lose weight but greatly improve my breathing.

Dr. Chappell’s research at the Medical School has been published in numerous professional journals and he has been an invited lecturer for prestigious organizations such as the American Thoracic Society, the American Federation of Clinical Research, the American Heart Association and the American Lung Association.
Dr. Chappell established his practice in Plano in 1985. He has been the Medical Director of Respiratory Care at Collin College since 1990 and a member of the Texas Medical Board since 2016.
