Dr. Thomas K. Tkach, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee reconstruction, joint replacement, and minimally invasive techniques. Born and raised in Oklahoma, Dr. Tkach was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by his father, Dr. Stephen Tkach, a respected orthopedic surgeon at McBride. Exposed to the operating room at an early age, he developed a lifelong passion for restoring function and independence through advanced surgical care. Today, Dr. Tkach continues that legacy at McBride Orthopedic Hospital, where he utilizes modern implant design and precision robotic systems to achieve long-term, natural movement restoration. He is also the proud father of two orthopedic surgeons, further reflecting a family legacy rooted in excellence and service.
Dr. Tkach obtained his undergraduate degree in Zoology from the University of Oklahoma before earning his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1989. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and a fellowship in Total Joint Reconstruction at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
