Dr. Thomas Thomasson is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery and specializes in trauma surgery and joint replacement, including anterior hip replacement and robotic-assisted knee and hip replacement. Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, he began his college education at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, earning a degree in Biomedical Engineering. He continued his education at Vanderbilt and earned his medical degree in 2004. Dr. Thomasson completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He completed a fellowship in orthopaedic trauma surgery at the University of Minnesota Regions Hospital in St. Paul Minnesota. He has also received extensive training by Dr. Peter Cole, a leading expert in scapula fracture repair. Dr. Thomasson’s honors and awards include the Thomas C. and Pauline C. Butler Academic Scholarship, the Tennessee Medical Education Scholarship, sophomore acceptance to Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and inclusion in Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society, merit-based. He has extensive research experience and is a member of several professional societies.

I didn’t feel rushed. Answered all my questions as through I was a unique person
did not see the doctor only the np who was very nice so any rating would be a guess. I am sure the doctor was very busy but would have been nice if he had looked in the room. I drove over 100 miles to learn the joint looked good. Staff were great but the portal waste a lot of time when you answer the same set of questions more than one time
