I was diagnosed with breast cancer 16 years ago. While I have been cancer free now for for all this time,, I have almost looked forward to the 6 month to the year check ups I have had just for peace of mind. In all that time Dr Sweeney has become not only a dr to me but I feel like he is a friend. He listened when I had doubts, fears, or got anxious over something little things. This last visit he shared with me that he is retiring, He shared the options I had going forward, I have been cancer free for 16 years so there is really no need to continue the checkups but if I wanted he would refer me to another Dr. And while I know there are plenty of of other good doctors out there, it would be just not be the same. I decided that day that I am going to retire from these year appointments. It wouldn’t be the same with another Dr. I’m sure all of his patients feel the same. He will certainly be missed, but I’m glad he was the one that got me through a very hard time in my life.

Dr Sweeney is always caring, concerned yet not overly intrusive with medical methods. He always asks the patient what you think before going along with care plans. He will be tremendously missed.

He is an exceptional physician. He is whip smart and extremely kind at the same time. I have had the privilege of knowing him for over 17 years. I will miss him terribly when he retires this year. He’s irreplaceable.
