I wish he would spend a little more time talking and explaining my visit. Like what is the eye pressure supposed to be, not just fly thru the door, “about same as last time, comeback in 6 months”. Explain what last visit was. How is a 90 year old man supposed to remember what same as last was. I do believe Dr. Rice is a very good doctor and would tell a person if something was really wrong.

Well, he is great so far. He hasn't done my cataract surgery yet, so ask me again. But he did inspire a 100% confidence in his ability.

Dr. Rice has been my eye doctor for decades--Lasik, Cataract surgery, and regular eye care. I trust him with my vision.

The visit took close to 2 1/2 hours. The technician and other staff were not able to work computers efficiently and some assistance from technician and contact technician not as professional as expected. I left with comment from one staff that indicated that I wouldn’t pass drivers test despite having difficulty with mask and fogging. I was upset. Dr interaction was less than 10 minutes. I will look forward to a better experience when I go for cataract surgery.

Dr Rice is very pleasant, professional, and explains everything so I can understand what each procedure is for. Have been seeing him for over 25 years, would not go to anyone else.

I still have eye issues and he says my eyes are fine. I can't see signs while driving. He doesn't fill my eye needs really ever. My right eye is bad. He just says I need reading glasses when I need glasses for both reading and in the car.

I was a first time patient who has never been to an eye appointment before. The person I saw before Dr Rice was very patient and understanding. When I was with Dr Rice he turned to me and said “eyes don’t cause headaches.” I never asked him if they did..? I was referred to an ophthalmologist from the neurologist I was seeing. He came off as very sassy to me. Before he examined my eyes I asked him what he was going to do and he answered in a sassy way saying he was going to look at my eye. I explained that I have never been to an eye appt so I just wanted to know what to expect. Again, the person who I saw previously (asked which one is clearer, 1 or 2?) was very great and patient. But Dr Rice, not so much..

Dr. Rice is very thorough with my eye care. He is very easy to talk to and explains my treatment plan that is easy to understand.

Always like to see Dr Rice. He has been my doctor for many years. Very professional, explains everything to me so I understand, and very patient no matter what situation. My husband is also his patient aid would not trust any other doctor.

Dr. Rice is thorough and answers my questions with clarity. I have a high degree of confidence in his support.

He never even looked at my eyes. Was very short with me. Will not see him again.

I only saw Dr. Rice for 5 mins?! I felt very rushed. He did say I was doing well & everything looked ok w/eyes & cataracts (slow growth). Gave me reading materials.

A friend referred me to Dr. Rice. I was expecting someone very personable; I found him to be 100% business. This is not a bad thing, of course, I just prefer a doctor to show a bit of an interest in me as a person in addition to a patient.

Thorough! Everyone was wonderful. No waiting. Quickest appt ever in probably 40+ years. Usually have to wait a bit.

I only had to wait 2-3 minutes to be seen by Dr. Rice’s assistant. She was very professional , thorough and answered my questions. I had to wait 20-25 minutes to see the optometrist who only spend 2-3 minutes with me.

Dr Rice could use some doctor/patient skills. He read my reports, did not share information on my eye testing with me. When I asked, he gave generic answers. Responding to my concerns on my eyes, brushed it off, said everything looked fine, use eye drops, take Advil. It would have been more useful to share my testing results, spend a few minutes asking more questions and listening. Very much a I-am-the-expert-trust-me-don't-bother-me approach. Very disappointing visit.

Looked at my eyes for less than 60 seconds. That would of been it if I would not have asked him questions for 1 minute. This appointment was early in the morning and it appeared he was running late already and was trying to make it up on me.

Feel confident in his ability & friendly style over the years. He also made an excellent referral several years ago for surgery.
