Dr. Thomas Phillips was trained in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, obtaining board certification in 1998. He was assistant chief of the Department of Surgery at the U.S. Army Aeromedical Center in Fort Rucker, Alabama before leaving the service in 1999 to join our group.

Dr Phillips is an AMAZING MD. Listens to the patient with a focused assessment and allows the patient to discuss their issues and explains the DX.

Made a appointment for recurring ear infections… apon arrival I get checked in and I have two babies (3 and 1) year old and I turn there iPads down to 2 bars from silence and they take us back and I I put one baby in the chair and the other one is sitting between my legs and Dr Phillips comes in and starts typing his Report in a couple seconds later he turns around and looks at the babies and says can you turn the iPad down The noise is distracting me I said yes no big deal. Turn the iPads down to zero the babies were sitting there watching their iPad in a couple seconds later he turns back around again and looks at him and looks back at me and says just turn the iPads off they’re distracting me. So I took the iPads away and they had their little donuts and they were sitting there crying because they didn’t have their iPads and he turns around again and give him a dirty look.. and then they start crying and he’s getting aggravated with me because the babies are making noise and apparen
Dr. Thomas Phillips is a native of the bayou country of south Louisiana and is a graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed a general surgery internship at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, followed by a tour of duty as a flight surgeon in central Germany. He was trained in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, obtaining board certification in 1998. He was assistant chief of the Department of Surgery at the U.S. Army Aeromedical Center in Fort Rucker, Alabama before leaving the service in 1999 to join our group.
He enjoys practicing the full range of otolaryngology/head and neck surgery. In his spare time he is an avid runner and fitness enthusiast. Dr. Phillips is an active member of the staff at South Georgia Medical Center.
