Dr. Thomas Phillips was trained in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, obtaining board certification in 1998. He was assistant chief of the Department of Surgery at the U.S. Army Aeromedical Center in Fort Rucker, Alabama before leaving the service in 1999 to join our group.

New patient & Dr. Phillips is awesome!!! He works efficiently to get down to solution instead of placing a bandaid like many physicians. Dr. Phillips also listens to his patients unlike some physicians whom like to do all the talking. Super nice staff.

Listened to my complaints, did an exam, gave me a diagnosis that was consistent with my complaints, and then gave me a treatment plan. And I didn’t have to schedule 3 months in advance like I have to do with primary care doctor(s) in Valdosta.

Dr. Phillips was a godsend! My husband had what appeared to be an unstoppable nosebleed and within 30 minutes he had it under control. He’s very professional and tuned in to his patients.

I was called and reminded of my appointment and told it was at 10:15. I showed up at 10:00 and then was told my appointment was 10:45. I was not seen by hearing area until 11:15. I finally saw Dr. Phillips at 12:00. Therefore, I was there TWO hours unnecessarily. I was the last person before lunch break as far as I could tell. I also had a schedule for other things I was trying to make.

Dr. Thomas Phillips is a native of the bayou country of south Louisiana and is a graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed a general surgery internship at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, followed by a tour of duty as a flight surgeon in central Germany. He was trained in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, obtaining board certification in 1998. He was assistant chief of the Department of Surgery at the U.S. Army Aeromedical Center in Fort Rucker, Alabama before leaving the service in 1999 to join our group.
He enjoys practicing the full range of otolaryngology/head and neck surgery. In his spare time he is an avid runner and fitness enthusiast. Dr. Phillips is an active member of the staff at South Georgia Medical Center.
