Dr. Kim attended Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., where he graduated magna cum laude, meaning ‘with great distinction,’ receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. As an undergraduate, he was nominated into Sigma Xi, one of the world’s oldest honor societies that recognizes achievements in science and engineering, for his research in organic chemistry. He also earned early acceptance into the Georgetown University School of Medicine, from where he received his Doctor of Medicine degree.
Dr. Kim completed a year of general surgical residency at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and completed his orthopedic training through the San Francisco Orthopedic Residency Program.
He then completed a sports medicine fellowship at Harvard University in Boston under the renowned orthopedic surgeon Lyle Micheli, M.D. During this fellowship, he provided medical coverage to the Boston Ballet, Boston Marathon, Bay State Games and several local high school and collegiate hockey and football teams. This fellowship also involved training at Boston Children’s Hospital, a facility that features a sports medicine division that was the first in the nation devoted to the treatment of pediatric and adolescent athletes.

He was very professional
Offered 5 option as if he was saying pick a card, any card. Appeared put out by my wanting information on my options as if it was not a doctors job to know more about medicine than I do as a graphic designer. Could not have pushed me into a choice based on zero information faster. Is it any wonder people are fed up with the American ultra quick way of practicing medicine?
Did an initial diagnosis of my neck & shoulders. Follow-up activities planned to determine the exact problem.
Best Doctor ever!
What a great doctor! He’s friendly, compassionate, and extremely helpful. I’m grateful I stood my ground on seeing him even though the clinic patient advocate wouldn’t let me. I’ve worked in healthcare so I know how to get exactly the practitioner I need.
The best
Quick and to the point is good and patience. Lets me tell what is wrong with me and has a plan of treatment before surgery.
He listens and concerns.
Absolutely awesome physician.
Very easy to talk with, great personality, as well as a great orthopedic surgeon, 7 weeks after a rotator cuff surgery and I’m back to full motion and building strength
