Great surgeon!! I had right knee revision surgery a couple of years ago and 2 months ago he replaced my left knee and corrected some old surgical problems left by another surgeon years ago. He’s very accommodating and attentive.

He does great work , never pushed me to get total knee replacement but said you will know when. You can barely see my scar.

Dr. Barrett along with Jason Wilhelm, NP solved my 3 year chronic hip knee, gait, and pain. It was rare, but Dr. Barrett actually spent more than the "allotted 15 min" clinicians are supposed to spend w/ patients per the evil insurance companies. All my concerns/questions were addressed, time was spent explaining the imaging and offering alternative therapies until a resolution was found. Charismatic and friendly, and incredibly difficult to get an appointment, and to get results. 1 1/2 years of multiple visits, with only a brace for treatment, to see the same problems on a second MRI, and finally be sent to PT. His NP Jason left me stressed out for months, having told me I have no choice but knee replacement, which Dr. Barrett now says isn't true. (with no apologies) I'm young and active, and I've spent almost two years waiting in a knee brace. The NP also responded critically to my view on cortisone injections, and pain meds. I've been told by other doctors these injections destroy the joint. The NP argued that I needed a new knee anyhow... Dr. Barrett said sometimes surgery is needed for my condition, but there is nothing he can do. (Then who can? ) The braces are printed in bold print with their business name, yet I'm not being paid to advertise; I'm paying dearly not only cash for the brace, but also in well being for the experience. I have Medicare, and wonder.

Became upset after patient explained rare disease to him and said he would not do a knee replacement on patient due to rare disease. Then put in visit note that it was largely due to obesity and not rare disease (which would not make knee replacement impossible). Did not look at MRI with patient and used the incorrect MRI report in the visit note.

Long wait but he was worth it.
