Thomas Auld, MD

Thomas Auld, M.D. is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in adult hip and knee replacement surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and completed his orthopedic residency training at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Auld then completed his adult hip and knee replacement fellowship at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Auld specializes in primary and complex surgeries of the hip and knee. This involves both treatment for primary joint replacement surgeries in addition to revision surgery for failed joint replacements. He employs minimally invasive anterior hip replacements as well as both total and partial knee replacements. Common conditions Dr. Auld treats include primary hip and knee osteoarthritis, post-traumatic arthritis, avascular necrosis, meniscus injuries, failed joint replacements and lower extremity trauma care.

Dr. Auld is also involved in academic research with multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals on the subjects of joint replacement and trauma surgery. His research has been presented at both national and international meetings. He believes education is key to successful patient outcomes.
