Tapan D. Patel, M.D.

Dr. Tapan D. Patel is a board-certified otolaryngologist and fellowship-trained rhinologist in New Haven, CT with training in endoscopic skull base surgery. He graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University and completed his medical degree and otolaryngology residency from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He then completed a highly competitive fellowship in Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, where he trained under world-renowned rhinologist, Dr. David W. Kennedy, a pioneer of endoscopic sinus surgery in the United States.

He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and the American Rhinological Society. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He is avid runner and also enjoys cooking. He enjoys fixing problems as they arise and has taken up automotive maintenance as a hobby.



Dr. Patel is fluent in Hindi, Gujarati and conversational in Spanish.
