As an individual with a ATC background, he is an excellent provider who isn’t at all, egotistical, when as the patient one suspect they have (fill in the blank) and they’d like to confirm or rule out. As an elite athlete, he recognizes the boundaries we push and unless it’s detrimental, allows you to, on your comfort level. His assessment is based on your needs/abilities not just the “norm.” Whether you’re a weekend warrior, college athlete, professional athlete, “Sr.” Athlete or the working or retired, warrior, his approach is the same. Grade A+ quality care. One of the best in all of San Diego

What I so appreciate about Dr. David, and find extremely rare in the health and medical world, he will recommend the best path to health, even if that means sending you elsewhere. In other words, we all know that surgeons cut, but when I saw him yesterday, he didn’t believe that another surgery would be beneficial for me, therefore, he hooked me up with a PT that he used for his own daughter, And he hooked me up with a stem cell/biologic doctor. The wheels are in motion already with those two entities. I feel like I have a great plan in place. I felt like I was treated like a family friend. Additionally, if it ever came to surgery, his reputation as a surgeon is off the charts!

I was able to get an appointment and within two weeks I was scheduled for surgery. My network was going to take two months to have a consultant. The surgery seem to have gone well and I'm on the way to recovery

Dr. Tal S. David, M.D., is a distinguished board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a subspecialty certification in Orthopedic Sports Medicine. His practice focuses on arthroscopic and sports medicine surgery.
He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He completed an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at the renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles, California. He has been involved in the care of injured athletes for more than 15 years, including serving 11 years as an NFL team physician.
Dr. David is a Volunteer Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at UC San Diego Health and a Faculty Instructor in the San Diego Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Fellowship. He serves on the Board of Editors for the peer-reviewed scientific journal, Orthopedics.
He is an active member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery, and Orthopedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS), and the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), where he is a member of the Council of Delegates. He is also a Past-President of the San Diego Orthopedic Society and a member of the Board of Directors for the California Orthopedic Association.
Dr. David has authored the textbook “Arthroscopic Techniques of the Shoulder” and is a co-editor of the Visual Arthroscopy Series on Arthroscopic Surgery. He has published and lectured internationally on topics related to sports medicine and injuries. Voted a “Top Doctor” in orthopedic surgery for six consecutive years in San Diego Magazine, he is highly respected by his peers.
