Dr. Taha Faruqi received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Beaumont Health. He completed a Spine Surgery Fellowship at the University of California where he worked closely and trained under both orthopedic spine surgeons and neurosurgeons.

Bucks County Orthopedic Specialists is thrilled to welcome Dr. Taha Faruqi, an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon to our team. Dr. Faruqi received both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University and received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Fort Lauderdale. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Beaumont Health, Farmington Hills & Dearborn, MI. He subsequently went on to complete a Spine Surgery Fellowship at the University of California, Irvine where he worked closely and trained under both orthopedic spine surgeons and neurosurgeons. During the course of his fellowship, he also developed an interest in minimally invasive lateral spinal fusions.
Throughout his professional and academic career, Dr. Faruqi has been a professional member of many different organizations. He is currently a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society. During his years at Nova Southeastern University, he was a member of Sigma Sigma Phi, a medical school honor fraternity, the Student American Osteopathic Association of Orthopedics and MASH Medical Outreach Club.
In addition to his hard work and dedication to health, Dr. Faruqi is a compassionate individual with a love for volunteer work. He served as a Camping Buddy for children with Hemophilia at Camp Boggy Creek and also helped multiple homeless organizations such as Jubilee Center Soup Kitchen and the Heroes for Health Charity Run. In addition, he helped veterans suffering from PTSD at the Veterans Nursing Home in Fort Lauderdale. His hobbies include snorkeling, racquetball and astronomy. Dr. Faruqi speaks several languages including English, Urdu and Hindi.
