Dr. Suzanne Rice, M.D. was raised in Grand Forks, ND, a town of about 50,000 people. She is an only child and the only member of her family that chose medicine as a profession. Suzanne got her undergraduate degree in Medical Technology at UND which is in her hometown.
Suzanne was then able to still stay local and attend medical school at UND. After graduating from medical school she did a residency year of medicine in Fargo, ND. Suzanne then moved to Akron, OH where she did her 4 year Ob/Gyn residency. Her first job out of residency was in a large Ob/Gyn practice in Richland WA. She was there for 4 years and then in September of 2005 she joined Women’s Health Associates in Boise.
Suzanne has several hobbies, but the one she has spent the most time at is teaching aerobics. I started in 1989 and have taught ever since. She has taught almost every format available (including pre-natal aerobics) and foresees herself teaching for the rest of her life.
Suzanne also enjoys hiking with her dogs, camping, skiing, snowmobiling, and mountain biking. She enjoys all aspects of the field of Ob/Gyn but has taken a special interest in delivering her own patients as often as I can. This was my first visit and I was very impressed by her caring and understanding of my concerns. I would highly recommend Dr Rice. But she is very busy and could take some time to get to see her, but it is worth the wait
She is THE best!!
Where to begin. How about 0 stars! The operational manager Misty was the rudest, most disrespectful person I have ever spoken to, let along one claiming to be a professional. To begin, I had a scheduled procedure for my sinuses to deal with migraine triggering pressure and pain prior to starting care with Dr Rice, however during my first appointment with her she was too busy on her phone to hear when I told her I had a procedure and preexisting condition requiring her attention. She spent over half the appointment on her personal phone, excusing herself saying she had a mom in labor that she had to monitor. Too busy for me, she missed details that were critical to my care, such as bleeding and a prior pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage. Two weeks later, a day before I was scheduled for my procedure I found out that I needed Dr Rice to clear me for the minor procedure. I called WHA and requested a letter clearing me only to get a call back from a nurse stating they don’t ALLOW any “
A genuine, thoughtful and caring provider with a good sense of humor. I would recommend her!
I have not had a visit with her.
