Originally from Naperville, Illinois, Dr. Hungness graduated summa cum laude from the University of Iowa. She completed Medical School, her Internship, & Residency at Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois, and her Allergy & Immunology Fellowship at University of Michigan Hospitals and Clinics in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Hungness is board-certified in Allergy & Immunology.
Dr. Hungness enjoys helping patients to further understand and more successfully manage their medical issues to help them feel better. As the mother of a child with eczema and food allergies, she understands the challenges that come with managing such conditions.
For fun, Dr. Hungness enjoys hiking, scrapbooking, and spending time with her husband and two young children.

I brought my son in for his dog and cat allergies, and I’m so glad we found doctor Hungness . She was very thorough and took the time to really listen and understand his concerns. She didn’t just focus on his allergies—she also checked his asthma and explained everything to us very clearly. What I appreciated most is that she really takes her time with her patients and never makes you feel rushed. She is very caring, attentive, and knowledgeable, and made both my son and me feel very comfortable. Her assistant, David, was also very nice, friendly, and helpful. From beginning to end, we had such a positive experience. We are new patients, and I’m very pleased with the care my son received. I’m so happy we found this office and would definitely recommend them!
Dr Hungness was incredibly thorough during my initial allergy appointment. She took the time to listen to all of my concerns, answered all my questions, and provided a plan that I feel confident in.

I did not walk out with the information I needed. I was supposed to have a list of baked dairy items and I did not have that list. It was also very unclear as to what action items I needed to take in order to get my daughter’s prescriptions. We also had to ask multiple times for cream to be applied to my daughter’s back for relief from the skin testing
So amazing and comprehensive! She gave me so much time and was extremely attentive
