Dr. Suraiya Afroz is a board-certified rheumatologist and attended medical school at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York City. She then completed her Internal Medicine residency at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s – West hospital in New York City and achieved her fellowship in Rheumatology at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL.
Dr. Afroz is passionate about taking care of patients and building meaningful relationships with them. She appreciates the continuity of care that comes with treating chronic illnesses and enjoys the challenge of treating rare and complex cases. Continual education about new medications and tools in the field of Rheumatology is also a priority to Dr. Afroz, as she is always looking for new ways to make a positive difference in patients’ lives.
In her free time, Dr. Afroz enjoys spending time with her family, painting, traveling and cooking.
