Dr. Afros is great. My last visit was wed. Feb. 22, 2023 for a reclasp IV. That was not satisfactory. The nurse (Brittany) blew a blood Vein in my left arm and then blew another in my right hand which she used for the IV . The top of my hand is blue and red around the edges. Dr. Afroz truly cares. She is 100% thorough. I honestly cannot say enough good things about my experiences with Dr. Afroz. I travel 1.5hrs for appts & there are Rheumatologists I could see 45mins. from my home. My husband & mom doctor local for their arthrtis; I will only say I opted to search for an alternative clinic. The why isn't important here! But I'm SO glad I found Dr. Afroz (Dr. Knox & the ENTIRE staff at OSMS). My experiences have truly never been less than 100% percent. One of the (many) things I appreciate about Dr. Afroz is when she orders labs; she explains results in detail. What the results mean, why they're drawn in relation to what she is looking for. I also value that she & Dr. Knox; my hand surgeon stay in touch as need be on my case. If necessary, she consults with him & vice versa. If you want doctors who will listen to you, that care about you; about you as a person, then this is where you want to be. Every single staff member cares from reception to Doctors, Surgeons, Nurses, etc. And they work together for you. They do not give up. Dr. Afroz is thorough in her approach to looking at possible causes; lab work, x-rays, imaging, etc. I also like how Dr. Afroz (and Dr. Knox whom Dr. Afroz referred me to) thoroughly explains all my results. She doesn’t just say that my labs were normal so that’s good. She explains the detail of each one & why they are drawn. She references info from other Specialists that can be accessed in my chart & explains that as well; which is nice. I definitely recommend Dr. Afroz to anyone considering her. Or OSMS in general. May I add; my husband drives me just over an hour and a half to come here…there are clinics nearer to where I live but I feel the care at OSMS is simply second to none and well worth the drive.
