Our family has been going to Wesley Chapel Dermatology for about a year, and this was our first visit with Dr. Sujatha Tadicherla. After introducing herself, she immediately began inspecting my 11-year-old son’s skin and stated, “Your neck is dark and you need to get outside more and be active.”
That comment was completely inappropriate and left me feeling disrespected. She never asked about my son’s activity level or lifestyle—if she had, she would have learned that he’s one of the most dominant athletes at his school, trains six days a week, and is extremely active. To make that kind of assumption, especially in front of my son, was offensive and unprofessional. A doctor should assess, not assume.
While I do appreciate that she refilled his prescription and explained how to use the cream properly, I have no interest in seeing her again. I hope the clinic takes this feedback seriously and encourages more thoughtful and respectful interactions with patients.
