Dr. Sudhakar Madanagopal, also known as “Dr. Su,” is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a member of The Orthopaedic Center (TOC) Joint Replacement and Trauma Centers of Excellence. Previously Dr. Madanagopal served as Associate Professor and Director of Orthopaedic Trauma and Adult Reconstruction for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, AL. He was also Joint Assistant Professor of Physician Assistant Studies and a Clinical Instructor at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. His fellowships include Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, Orthopaedic Trauma, Hip Arthroscope or Hip Preservation and Adult Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Madanagopal completed residencies in preliminary surgery and orthopaedic surgery in Connecticut and India. He has served on numerous committees and was awarded The Mitchell Medical Scholars Program Award from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. Dr. Madanagopal’s studies have appeared in numerous publications including the American Journal of Orthopaedics, Journal of Sports Science and Medicine, and Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Research.

Dr. Su explained everything clearly to me, including treatment. Maria, his PA, was very thorough and showed me on my results, what was going on. Very kind.
Surgically repaired my torn ligaments, dislocated foot/ankle, and 2 broken fingers. I healed completely, no pain, no unnecessary appointments, just a couple follow-ups to monitor my healing. Very pleased with his expertise.
First appointment of the day and Dr Su and his PA (Mike?) were right on time. Great thorough description and analysis of my shoulder(s) issues. Showed me the x-rays and MRI and explained in detail what the problems were and how he proposed to fix them. Both answered all of my questions and did not rush the appt. Very positive experience!
