I didn't get to see the doctor, but the P.A. was very helpful

Today was my second visit to Dr. Madangopal. First visit excellent. Today I was signed in in the office for one hour before being told the doctor was running one hour behind. I set there another hour before name was called to go to the back. After sitting for about 5 minutes in came the doctor assistant. Still never saw the doctor.

He and his staff are very nice, and knowledgeable

Dr Su has been mine and my mother's surgeon for years. We met Dr Su when my 89-year-old mother fell and shattered her elbow and broke her hip. Luckily, Dr Su performed her surgery, and she recovered without much discomfort to full functionality. He has done both my knee replacements and hip replacements, I did develop a staph infection in the last hip he but it was no fault of him or his staff. The infection required two revision surgeries on that hip, but Dr Su performed each one, and now I am right as rain. Many people say they don't like his "bedside manner," but he's there to do a job, not to be your friend or listen to your woes. He is efficient and the best at what he does, wouldn't let anyone else touch me. If you are looking for a no nonsense surgeon Dr Su is your guy!

Dr. Su is the best! His nurse always has a scowl on her face and I usually have to wait 40 to 50 minutes after my scheduled appointment time before I am seen but other than that it’s great!

Dr Su is amazing! He explained what was wrong with my hip in detail and answered all my questions. He made me feel at ease about having surgery. He also made a comment about how much he loves his job to the point where he doesn’t feel like it’s work. I would recommend him to everyone.

first let me say, while I was waiting to see Dr. Su. They were behind and she asked who i was seeing, I said Dr. Su. And her response it's worth the wait, because he's good. and was she right. Hope when the time come He will be able to get me fixed up.

Dr. Su is extremely knowledgeable and does not want me to have anymore left knee surgeries. Only if I advance in pain and can not colltroll it. He is very caring and compassionate, and explains everything in detail. I praise God he was my 4th opinion to getting the hinge knee revision done. He is holding off as long as Iam not suffering, and my hardware does not move. He is doing everything in his power and knowledge to keep me out of pain. The hinge has 15% infection rate which is a guaranteed amputation. We need more 5 star doctors like Dr. Su. God bless you Dr. Su thanking for being my orthopedic doctor.

VERY CARING PERSON, LISTENS CAREFULLY

Waited 3 hours after my scheduled appointment time. Several people that had appointment times after mine and with same doctor, were called back ahead of me. When I asked, was told I had several people ahead of me. Why make an appointment when you have to wait for hours after the time to see the doctor.

Been using Dr Su since 2014 and so thankful his staff has been in control of my surgeries. He has a great PA & NP his staff is on top of their game in ortho!

Dr Su is an excellent orthopedic doctor. He is one of the few overall doctors who actually takes time to listen. I didn't get that "rushed" feeling from him. He listened & answered every question patiently. I highly recommend Dr Su.

Dr. Sudhakar Madanagopal is a great example of how a doctor should be he was very efficient and thorough when looking at my MRI and X-ray he decided to order more for the pacific areas of concern for my best interest he was very professional and asked me several questions and he made sure I had an understanding of what he was talking about he very nice and very knowledgeable in what he does I’m very pleased to have seen by him and his team today they cared for me and they listened and are very helpful and good nice people

Dr Su did surgery on my Periformis and IT band in Feb 2023. He was awesome.. worked great..

Great doctor who was patient enough to listen to me to explain my current condition and why I ended up in ER. He agreed with me that diagnosis given to me in the ER was not the correct and while I do have arthritis, it was not causing the issue in my right leg. When I mentioned Familia Mediterranean Fever that another one of my family members was diagnosis last year with could be the cause, he looked up that rare autoimmune disorder and verified that it could mostly likely be causing my issue and confirmed it would be best to focus on verifying that I too might have that disorder before pursuing other possible causes as this checks many of the boxes off of what I am experiencing instead of dismissing me and just jumping to the easiest answer of it is arthritis. I appreciate being heard instead of being dismissed just because it is a disorder not heard of or often seen as only 10% of the population have this mutated gene & only 1% diagnosed of those who have it. Thank you.

The driest most unfriendly doctor Ive ever met but he seems to know his business so I guess thats all that matters

We had to wait an extra hour after the appointment time causing delays in our life. If a text message can be sent reminding you of the appointment why can’t one be sent they are running late. When asked how long of a delay at the front desk the answer I got there are a few patients in front of my mom with no other answers. I find that unacceptable.

Wonderful surgeon! My elderly mother fell and broke her hip and shattered her elbow. Dr Su put her back together and she had very little pain. I have had both my hips replaced and a knee by Dr Su. Despite a Staph/strep infection in my last hip and 2 additional surgeries I sing his praises to anyone that will listen!

My husband, with middle stage Alzheimer’s, had hip replacement in July. Dr. Su and staff worked with us regarding anesthesia, medications, rehab, PT. Husband stopped using walker after 3 weeks. Six months later, he doing very well.

He seems to be a good doctor. I will have a better opinion in 6 weeks when I see him again.

A phenomenal surgeon who takes the time to answer my detailed questions. He uses simple language to ease the fears and unknowns of a complicated procedure into bite size pieces of information. I was terrified to have surgery, but the plan he provided to me to help me walk pain free was easy to follow and helped me achieve my goal.

I haven't seen the doctor now for two visits. How can I rate someone whom I've never met! Of course, he will still charge my insurance company as if he has seen me. Also, my last visit was 11/2 hours AFTER my scheduled appointment time.

I believe he takes on too many patients. All office visits were 2 hours late, a packed waiting room of unhappy people. We all seemed happy with his doctoring, although agreeing he has no personality, but that he is trying to help too many people. That makes him tired and grumpy I would think also! Bet he has a beautiful smile.

Dr Su listened to what I had to say and explained what was going on in an excellent manner. He did not rush me in and out. He told me how to better care for myself on a everyday basis that would be a great benefit long term.

Dr Su was very nice. He was patient with our questions. He was not quick to want to do surgery & gave a detailed explanation of the problem with my Mother’s knee. He laid out a plan for her that was non invasive that would raise her long term quality of life without pain. We were very pleased with the appointment from start to finish! Doing all paperwork online made things go fast. We were there early, they took us back early, did X-rays immediately, and Dr Su came right in. Dr Su and his team made it stress free.

I saw one of Dr. Su's PAs for my post op follow up for a total hip replacement. She was distracted, curt and uninformative. I tried to speak with her regarding a complication I had post op and she was dismissive and barely took notice of the picture I tried to show her. Dr. Su took the time to go over previous procedures with me in detail and the PA obviously wanted out of the room quickly. I felt so rushed I forgot to ask most of my questions. This was a life changing procedure for me and I felt like a number during my visit.

Doctor Su always listens to my complaints and explains his procedures for correcting the medical problems. I have a lot of confidence in him because he provides excellent care.

Dr. Su has an excellent bedside manor. Takes his time and gives simple explanation of what to expect. The office staff was also very nice and understanding. I did wait over an hour and a half after arrival but I Will definitely recommend to family and friend.

Two hour wait. Appointment was supposed to be with the Dr. Didn't even get to see him. Treated like an assembly line all the way through only to be told insurance wouldn't cover what was needed and being sent on my way with no treatment period.

I have had two surgeries done by Dr. Sud and am very satisficed with the results. I was born with congenital hip dysplasia and had to receive 2 hips. In my case, they were more additions than replacements since they never fully developed before I was born. He is an excellent and highly professional surgeon who provides great care to his patients. He patiently answers all your questions (before & after surgery). Great bed side manners too! These surgeries were done in 2020 (July & Oct) under a lot of challenges and restrictions due to COVID and Dr. Sud and his staff did everything possible to continue to provide excellent service. My physical problems were extremely hard on me and he helped me regain a more normal life. Thank you Dr. Sud!!

The Doctor was competent but the TOC business model pushes the patient off on the "Extender" support staff who lack the training and experience to adequately perform the the post operative follow-up. Also, appointment times were not adhered to in most cases.

Did not obtain prior authorization for a procedure. I had to call insurance company and then doctors office to make arrangements.

He apparently is very up to date with medical procedures. He used the Mako robot to put in my artificial Stryker Triathlon knee. I was up and walking that day. He is very polite, very busy, and I hope he stays that way. Huntsville needs a doctor of his caliber. I would definitely uchoose him as my first option..

Although I ultimately survived his two surgeries, the first of which was a total disaster, Dr. Su is completely incompetent in terms of personal input and discussion about your situation. As a result of which I had two operations when one should have worked. Even today when I came for a check-up he did not meet with me, as he usually does/did not during my association wiih him.
