Dr. Steven Wahlmeier, MD was born and raised outside Hastings, Nebraska. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. He received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the William Beaumont Hospital outside Detroit, Michigan. He completed a fellowship with specialized training in Orthopaedic Spine Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Wahlmeier is married and has three children. He stays busy with school and kids’ activities but enjoys golfing and other outdoor activities in his free time. He is looking forward to being back in Nebraska near out friends and extended family as well as being able to serve the communities they grew up in.

Skilled surgeon with a personable bedside manner.
Very thurough with the exam and took seriously my comments and questions.
Dr Wahlmeier and his team are amazing. He performed extensive surgery on my spine. After 7 years of constant pain, I am able to stand and walk. He literally gave me a new life.
Dr. Wahlmeier and staff did an excellent job on my neck and spine surgerles and after care. Iam grateful that, following a triple discectomy and procedure to correct scoliosis, my severe sciatica symptoms have stopped snd i can walk with a can. After 6 mos., I'm still unsteady on my feet at times, but overall, I'm doing well. I recommed Dr. Wahlmeier and team for their professional skills, and caring, responsive support.
