He operated on my lower back in 2006 and never had no problems until I developed a pinched nerve because of the wearing away of the disks and had to have injections every six (6) months and all is still well yand and in therapy now and making great progress with the therapy exercises used and the injection every six (6) months relieves the pain and relaxes the nerves most of all and is crucial in stimulating the nerves which enables me to be mobile.

He will give you an accurate diagnosis and an honest assessment of what is necessary and possible in terms of relief. After a year of chronic back pain, I am a month post-fusion surgery and am virtually pain-free. I have some restrictions and some further healing to go, of course, but the overall result is an immediate success. I feel like myself again.

My first visit with this doctor.

Excellent surgeon. Had a severe herniated disk and was admitted to another hospital for two days because of the severe pain. I called the spine institute the next day and made an appointment. Dr. Poletti, saw me and immediately gave me a choice to have injections or surgery. I elected surgery because my pain was so severe and nearly lost all control of my right leg. He performed surgery the next day and the pain was gone. I have been post-op for seven weeks and now walking with no pain and feeling much better.

Best Spinal / Neck In the country!

I love Dr. Poletti! He’s been my “back” doctor since 2010 when another “quack” ran a bunch of tests, running up my insurance bill, then said, “I guess you need surgery”. When I asked if it was going to help with my pain, he said it was a “50/50” chance! I walked away and sought a second opinion. Thankfully I found Dr. Poletti. We did exactly what was needed and I played my best golf after! 10 years later when I was having horrible neck issues, once again, we did what was needed. He’s the best!

Love the spine institute and dr poletti. But the prescription service is terrible. I can never get anyone to return my call or simply give me an answer to my question. They seem to get annoyed when you call.

Dr. Poletti is better than excellent. He met with me diagnosed my back issue, confirmed it by having a MRI performed on me, read the results and sent me in for spinal injection all in the same day. I didn’t click with this doctor. He had a very flat affect and gave me zero helpful information about the cause of or possible treatments for my back pain. I felt like if I wasn’t there for pain meds he didn’t really know what to do do me. He encouraged me to do an MRI to compare changes from several years ago, which I did at home and the results would’ve been sent to him but I haven’t heard a word about it.

Drove two and a half hours to find out I could not get my shots because I was taking an antibiotic. Nobody said anything about an antibiotic prior to checking in the surgery unit for shots. Was very disappointed. Have always had good service before.

Saw Dr Lane Tuggle. Excellent explanation of the details of my condition. Very friendly and also professional. She was very receptive to my needs due to the long distance I am from SSI. Great M.D.& would recommend her to anyone. When I had severe back issues in 2012 SSI was willing to see me immediately were as the orthopedist I was receiving care from told me to wait two weeks before he could see me. God blessed me with having Dr. Poletti be the physician that accepted me as a patient. He is the best in the area, if not the state or south eastern US. Truly cares about his patience and has God given towels!

Dr Poletti gave a very through explanation of the causes of my condition and his recommendation of how to proceed. He took as much time as I needed to answer my questions and concerns. I am very impressed with his knowledge and the way he interacted with me.

My wife had and still has lower back issues. Cant stand or walk and nothing was done to help her pain. Sending her to the hospital for an epidural a month later.

Dr. Poletti took time to listen to me explain what my symptoms were and how long I had been suffering. He then explained with a skeletal model what was happening in my case. After that , he asked if he could schedule a cortisone injection that day, would I agree? I was extremely pleased with his swift treatment because I have been in severe pain. Dr Poletti performed a spinal fusion on me 6 months ago and I have my life back. Prior to surgery I could not walk or stand for longer than 5 to 10 minutes. I have returned to walking over an hour a day and able to resume activities from 5 years ago. The best outcome I could have hoped for! Now I can actually play with my grandchildren!

It was my first visit and I was refered to Dr. Poletti from another long term health care provider. I waited a long time for the visit because I wanted to see Dr. Poletti and I didn't even get to meet him. If I knew that I could have went to another Dr. closer home. I drove a 100 miles. Very Poor communication I should have been told in advance.

I have received good service and care from him before, but I'm done...I was in tremendous back pain, but live 2 hours away...it has taken months to get in to see him, but they REQUIRED an MRI for him to review before I would be able to be seen. I had it done and overnighted it to him as I had an appointment with his P.A. a week later. I was told when I called in to get the mailing address to call "Wendy" in three days to get the results of the MRI. I truly thought twice I needed to go to the emergency room as I was in that much pain. I called two other times for her and left messages, but no call back UNTIL the night before my 2 hour ride to my appointment, I got a call from her telling me she needed to change my appointment to an earlier time the next day. She said that a P.A. can't read an MRI, but I told her I CLEARLY told them I was sending the MRI...they knew who they scheduled me with. Dr. Politti DID NOT MENTION it and walked out of the room and left the building with no word

A life saver for me

Dr. Poletti was more forthcoming with most doctors I have dealth with in the past. He had a name to what I was feeling rather than a recommendation to see a neurologist or get my throid checked and to rule out diabetes! So I am looking forward to working out a treatment plan.

I was hoping to get another back injection...last one in May. However, when I requested the injection, I needed to see Dr P or the PA. it took two months to get that scheduled. Had the call with the PA Wed., the 25th. Now, I can get the injection. Why does it take so long to schedule a two minute conversation?

After ;waiting 2.5 hours for a phone conference on line in am and 2.5 hours in afternoon and still no Steve Poletti and all it said was that he will be with you shortly. I think you need to look up the meaning of shortly. I received no phone call or apology. Poor business practices. They did better when they first started!!!!!!

It seems the host of the call is using a slow connection or WiFi. The call audio is choppy and the video is a little off.

He first told me I would be out. Of work for 4to 6 weeks and he would be assisted by Dr. Anderson a Neurologist. As it turns out he wasn’t there no did he need to be and recovery is 12 weeks. Nonetheless I am extremely pleased with Dr Anderson and although my recoup time is longer than expected. I no I will be able to be pain free and do more.
