After completing his clinical internship and post-doctoral training at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, California, Dr. Kalisch went on to hold Academic Medical Center positions as Director of Behavioral Medicine Services at the Spine Institute of New England and Department of Orthopaedics at University of Vermont Medical Center and afterward as Director of Northwestern Memorial Hospital's Back and Neck Institute in Chicago.
