Great guy did more for me in 15 min then any other doctors has period.
Dr. Steven Howell is a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Kansas and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, in Wichita.
Dr. Howell completed his fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, making him the first physician in the state with this type of training.
In working with patients, Dr. Howell feels that being a Wichita native is a plus. His familiarity with the people and the area helps build trust, which is an important part of his style of practicing medicine. He feels that a patient's confidence in his abilities and judgment promotes open communication essential to successful diagnosis and treatment of orthopaedic disorders.
Dr. Howell is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, American Medical Association, Kansas Medical Society and the Medical Society of Sedgwick County. Dr. Howell is also a Clinical Associate Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita.
